The Trading Years
Marcus spent 8 years as a professional trader in London's financial district, working across multiple asset classes — equities, forex, and commodities. Early on, he realised that chart pattern recognition and indicator interpretation weren't just nice-to-have skills. They were fundamental to survival. His trading desk wasn't glamorous. It was spreadsheets, historical data, and countless hours studying what actually worked versus what sounded good in theory.
That hands-on experience became his superpower. He wasn't learning from textbooks or secondhand accounts. He was learning from real money, real pressure, and real mistakes. Support and resistance levels aren't abstract concepts when your P&L depends on reading them correctly. Momentum indicators don't exist in isolation when you're timing entries and exits.
The Education Gap
By 2015, Marcus recognised something that frustrated him: most technical analysis courses taught theory disconnected from practice. They'd explain what a moving average is, but not how to actually use it when trading. They'd describe support and resistance conceptually, but rarely showed how to identify them on real historical charts with confidence.
He started creating his first structured course at a London trading academy. The approach was simple but different. Start with chart fundamentals. Build systematically through indicator categories — momentum tools first, then volume analysis. Let traders practice everything on demo accounts with real historical data, no capital at risk. That framework became the foundation for what he's been refining ever since.

Over the past 11 years, Marcus has delivered over 200 workshops and trained more than 2,000 traders through both in-person sessions across the UK and structured online courses. He's worked with complete beginners who've never opened a trading platform, and experienced traders looking to formalise their analysis methodology.
